Making an Offer

After a wobbly start to our morning (more on that later), we finally made an offer on a house today.  Actually, our agent emailed us the paperwork, we printed it out, signed it, scanned it and emailed it back to her tonight.  Although we haven’t heard back from her, she said that she would forward it immediately to the listing agent, who forwards it immediately to the bank who owns the property.  So-o-o-o, MAYBE we’ll hear something back by tomorrow night, but I’m not counting on it.

A little bit about the property…you know you’re in trouble when you arrive for your first look at the house, and your realtor greets you at the door laughing.  The house is a split level built in 1962.  It’s kind of quirky, which is OK with me, as long as it’s not too quirky to resell in the future.  It needs a LOT of work, which we’re prepared for.

Here are a few photos:

The master bedroom has a half bath – interesting.

Family room with window A/C unit(!) and jalousie windows (I like that word).

The "L" shaped guest room and little closet with a slanted floor (which is over stairs down to the garage).

About the wobbly start to our morning – I overslept, woke up with a migraine, couldn’t swallow the Excedrin so they dissolved in my mouth, and thought my Paxil may have rolled off the counter and gotten eaten by our CKC spaniel. I had to squirt hydrogen pyroxide down her throat to induce vomiting, and THAT was all pretty disgusting.
