Unexpected Turn of Events

Saturday was interesting in the house hunting department.  We went to look at a bank-owned house that was fresh on the market.  As we pulled up, 3 more groups of people showed up to look too.  Everyone left chuckling.  The house was pretty atrocious, although not as bad as some we’ve seen.

We asked our agent if we could go by another bank-owned property that we had seen a listing for before our Thanksgiving trip, but we didn’t have a chance to look then.  We went by, and were pleasantly surprised.  It was a smallish house, 1440 sq. ft., elevated over a garage of the same size.  It had fresh paint and carpet, and was very clean.  It turns out that the agent already has 10+ offers, but we decided to make an offer anyway…ya never know.  The bank is supposed to look at the offers today and make a decision by tomorrow, so we’ll keep our fingers crossed.
