Waitin’ on Renovatin’

No word from the seller’s side regarding being able to give us clear title to the house…I can only assume that they’re still working on getting the IRS to agree to release their lien against the property.  There are two more days left in this last contract extension.

So back to constructively waiting – of course there are the everyday things our family does – hubby’s job and K.’s classes.  K.’s drama class is going to produce “Robin Hood and Maid Marian” this spring.  It’s a very humorous version of the Robin Hood story, and so far K.’s involved in proofreading the script, costume research, and practicing for try-outs, which are tomorrow.

K. and I are planning to add yoga to our weekly mix of activities…there is a lady in Tampa who specializes in yoga for scoliosis, but I’m having trouble tracking her down.

I’ve got a few more things to research prior to moving – the new house has two A/C systems which both need service and/or replacement.  I need to line up a couple of companies to come out and give us estimates, so we can take care of that immediately after closing.

There’s also the issue of phone/Internet service at the house.  For the first time we’re thinking of NOT having a land line – just having our cell phones.  But there is an alarm system at the house that we will want to have monitored – it may require a land line for that.  We also have to figure out what our Internet service options are, and have that lined up as well…heaven forbid that we should have to go a day or two without Internet access 😮

Whao, buying a new house is definitely not an easy job. Your blog shows that what sorts of problems one can face (tiny or big) .
All the best for K’s play.
