A/C + a Little Demo

By 3:00 today, we officially had A/C in the house – HOORAY! I’m very thankful to have that done – it’s warming up in Florida.

We also began working on re-aligning the hallway to the master suite and K.’s room…we decided to tackle demo-ing the left hallway wall, which is shared by the master closet. We started at about 7:00 p.m. and by 9:00 the drywall was all down. K. and I flaked out, pooped, and hubby is still in there removing the studs.

Here's the hallway before the mayhem started.

The mayhem has started - Jimbo takes the first swing...K. and I got into it, too.

Most of the drywall on the hallway side is down.

The drywall is all down, and a couple of studs have been removed.

And just because I love seeing before and after photos side by side:

I kept saying, “What are we going to do with all this stuff (drywall debris)?” We’re still not sure – I’ve got to see if the City of Largo has a place for us to haul it off to…it’s amazing how much rubble we got tearing down that one little section of wall.

    Keep up the good work!

Demolition is always much more fun then putting up the drywall and trying to actually get it smooth and sanded. Good luck with the continued renovations.
