We are in the dog days of summer – even stepping outside the door in the early morning hours is oppressive. For a menopausal woman who feels like a radiator herself about half the time, this is just a yucky feeling. I’ve decided to stay indoors as much as possible (sorry, outdoor fanatics).
The start of the school year is rushing towards us and I’m trying to schedule a few more things before K. gets started. We need to go back down to Transform Physical Therapy and Pilates in Aventura, FL for another week of intensive physical therapy for scoliosis-related issues.
Hubby would also love to visit Beverly Beach in our camper…there’s a campground there where you can back in and have a direct view of the Atlantic. It’s probably our favorite campground ever and we haven’t been in a long time.
Jim is almost through with K.’s wall bar system for the Schroth exercises…it looks fantastic! I will post pictures when he has them installed.
I have a little sewing I’ve got to do very soon – I always make K.’s school uniform pants, and I always wait until the last minute when I’m in panic mode…will this year be any different? 🙂
We’ve recently adopted a soldier through the www.adoptaussoldier.org web site. K. and I decided to do this after reading a friend’s post on Facebook…our friend’s son is deployed and related how one of his buddies never got anything at mail call. Now this kid will be getting stuff thanks to that post, but it made us realize that there were probably many more people in his shoes who could use some moral support from home.
After a little research, we registered at the Adopt a US Soldier web site and got our soldier a couple of days ago. We are so excited to be able to support our service people in a tangible way.
So, that’s the latest news from the Huebsch House. I need to go sweat for a little while – talk to you guys later 🙂
