Living Room/Dining Room Progress (Part 1)

Jim has been making lots of progress on our large living room/dining room area. Because we had so much stuff in those 2 rooms with no where else to put it, he worked on the area in 2 phases, starting with the dining room. There were many issues to be addressed.

There were walls which had to be demo’d:

…a really wonky soffit on one side of the wall which had to go away…

…tons of wires which had to be moved, including the thermostat…

There were walls which had to be built…

…popcorn texture which had to be removed from the ceiling…

…knockdown texture applied to the ceiling and walls…

…and here’s another view of the dining room with its new knockdown texture…

The gross shaggish-style burgundy carpet was ripped out and a parquet floor in the foyer was removed…

Jim primed both the ceiling and the walls…

(to be continued)
