Jimbo recently finished another fine piece of work, K’s custom reach-in closet. Here are a few of the details…we decided to go with MDF (medium-density fibreboard), an engineered wood product. It cuts, stains and paints like wood.
We also decided to make about 2/3 of the closet a double-hang section, with the remaining 1/3 being long-hang plus a short shelf. Of course, there is one long shelf across the top which can also be used for storage.
Jim cut the pieces of MDF, painted them white and began to install them.
We purchased white metal rods and brackets for the hanging sections.
Once all the pieces were in place, he had a little finish work to do.
And last, a view of the finished closet, which was quickly put into use!
