House Projects/Tasks

I thought it would be fun to keep a list of all the things we’ve done in the house as we go:

1.  2/12/2011 – New toilet seat and lid in the guest bathroom

2.  2/12/2001 – Installed back door

3.  2/15/2011 – Installed wire nuts on all exposed wires

4.  2/17/2011 – Moving company delivered all our household goods.

5.  2/18/2011 – We officially begin staying in the house 😮

6.  2/22/2011 – Chimney cleaned and inspected.

7.  2/25/2011 – Internet connection installed.

8.  2/28/2011 – Installed guest bathroom door.

9.  3/3/2011 – Repaired leak in water supply line.

10.  3/5/2011 – First time to do yard work.

11.  3/8/2011 – Collected popcorn ceiling samples for asbestos testing.

12.  3/10/2011 – Ceiling samples test negative for asbestos 😮

13.  3/12/2011 – Jim removed popcorn texture from master bedroom ceiling.

14.  3/18/2011 – The new A/C systems are installed.

15.  3/19/2011 – The master hallway/closet wall is demo’d.

16.  3/23/2011 – Jim removed popcorn ceiling texture from master suite hallway.

17. 3/24/2011 – Jim removed popcorn ceiling texture from the master closet.

18.  3/29/2011 – Jim removed popcorn ceiling texture from the hallway to the master suite and in the bathroon vanity area – that’s the last of it in the master bedroom area!!

19. 4/9/2011 – Jim hooked our irrigation system up to the City’s reclaimed water supply.

20. 4/14/2011 – We ran our irrigation system for the first time with all the repairs Jim made, plus using reclaimed water.

21/ 5/5/2011 – Jim finished repairs for insurance items. (It was all for naught – they cancelled us anyway! Well, at least this stuff is done.) He removed exposed wires, installed exterior light fixtures, replaced siding planks and panels, and repaired window sills.
